Year 4 Communication and PowerPoint Presentations

I had a fantastic time teaching for three weeks in 4Keen. As mentioned below, students were very busy completing a variety of Communication unit projects, as well as rehearsing for the whole school stage production, online maths rotations on perimeter and area, and ppts! For the ppts students first wrote journal entry recount/narratives about themselves as an Olympian. After editing and organising this text into six paraphrased sections, one for each slide, they created PowerPoint presentations based on their writing. Nearly all students were new to using this program, so it was exciting to see their enthusiasm to learn a new technology and the creativity in their presentations. Great work. 4Keen!

A wonderful week in Grade 4Keen

My grade 4 class was certainly keen to participate in all activities this week! Highlights included Wacky Web Tales, Mad Libs, Decimal War, Olympic journal writing, PowerPoints, the ICAS maths competition, poems, youtube education videos and Integrated Studies Communication unit projects. These projects included timelines, coloring/puzzle books, a play and a jingle, cartoon strips, and mini information books all focused on forms of communication and based on Bloom's Remembering and Understanding principles in learning about a topic. Well done, Grade 4Keen!
