Year 4 Communication and PowerPoint Presentations
I had a fantastic time teaching for three weeks in 4Keen. As mentioned below, students were very busy completing a variety of Communication unit projects, as well as rehearsing for the whole school stage production, online maths rotations on perimeter and area, and ppts! For the ppts students first wrote journal entry recount/narratives about themselves as an Olympian. After editing and organising this text into six paraphrased sections, one for each slide, they created PowerPoint presentations based on their writing. Nearly all students were new to using this program, so it was exciting to see their enthusiasm to learn a new technology and the creativity in their presentations. Great work. 4Keen!

Finished in Prep and on to Year 4
I had a fantastic time teaching Prep and the pinata was quite a hit [wink].
We did lots of fun Olympics and cultural diversity - "same but different"- activities,
including making torches and rings, and designing our own Olympic mascot outfits online.
Tomorrow I start a two week teaching stint in a grade 4 class at the same school, and
I'm looking forward to that as well. I'm getting all my resources ready!
